Wowing both expert and novice, Master Sommelier Emily Wines hosts NIOS' popular Sommelier Smackdowns, where she goes head-to-head with renowned wine, beer and spirits experts in three-course pairing challenges with guests turned judges. These monthly events keep our Master Sommelier on her toes while giving diners the chance to experience some of the country's top talent.

The Sommelier Smackdowns are just one part of the novel, fun and informative wine program from Wines that distinguishes NIOS from every other Manhattan destination. Wines hand-selected a wine list for NIOS that showcases 100 international selections, encompassing great values, hidden gems, organic and sustainable varieties, classic picks and a robust selection of half-bottles. An avid educator, Wines also presents flights such as "Truffle, Earth, and Leather" and "Coastal California Dreaming" that give guests the chance to experience a thematic range of wonderful wines.
